Competition
All of the stocks we currently hold are in the food industry so a fitting competitor for all of them is Kraft Foods. Kraft is currently at a higher point after a long down period the price is 26.80 which is lower than all three of our companies, therefor I believe we made good purchases within the food industry. Kraft is not projected to make much for gains for the remainder of this year.

Do you believe that the only competition that your stocks have to worry about is Kraft? Do you think that there are any more large companies within the food industry that will make earnings less for your stocks? I think that maybe you should have more than one large company in the food industry to be a solid representation of the competition your stocks have to deal with.
ReplyDeleteYou may have made a good purchase for the stock market game, but who knows if it will make more money in the long run? Like some of its competitors, Kraft has faced some problems with higher input costs and weaker consumer spending. Although Kraft's investment in product innovation and marketing may possibly mean larger gains in the long run.
